VSNL Lanka has unrestricted access to the network and infrastructure of VSNL for services offered to its customers. VSNL, India has invested in 5 global submarine cables - SEA-ME-WE-2, SEA-ME-WE-3, FLAG, SAFE and GULF CABLE. VSNL also owns the 3175 km TATA Indicom Submarine Cable system between Chennai & Singapore.
VSNL has acquired the state-of-the-art Tyco Global Network, an under-sea cable Network of 60000 Kms spanning the continents of America, Europe and Asia for 130 Million US$. VSNL has also acquired Teleglobe International Holdings Limited for 239 Million US$, which will make it a Tier 1 Global Wholesale Voice and Data player and further complement the acquisition of Tyco Global Network.
VSNL is also partner for 3 satellite consortiums - INTELSAT, INMARSAT and Thaicom3. |
