International calls are possible though its TDM based, Alcatel make 1000 MM E10 International gateway switch commissioned in Colombo. The call is sent over via global telecom infrastructure of TATA Communications & TATA Communications International and through other non-TATA Communications International carriers . Alternately the call could go through its standby geo-stationary Intelsat Satellite E/S in Colombo.
